Foxford is famous for it's fishing...Salmon fishing on the River Moy is world famous, while you can also participate in trout and course fishing for free :)North West Fisheries
Walking
Foxford and Mayo in general is full of beautiful scenery and challenging walks. Foxford itself is circled by the Foxford Way, an 86km walk encompassing the Ox Mountains, roads, boglands, archeological sites, lakeshores, and river banks.
Surfing
There are a number of very good surfing locations within easy reach of Foxford, including Enniscrone, Easkey, Louisburgh and Achill Island
Shopping
Ballina and Castlebar are within 10 miles of Foxford and offer a variety of ways to spend your money. Failing that Galway city and Sligo are only and hour away if you really want to splash the cash!
